Chaga /ˈtʃɑːɡə/

 

   The Chaga mushroom contains vitamin D, magnesium, potassium, fiber, calcium, and manganese. These are just some of the nutrients and vitamins which are needed by the human body. It’s exciting to understand that just one Chaga mushroom contains all those aforementioned nutritional properties! There are also more vitamins, minerals, and nutrients within the Chaga mushroom. These are just a few: Vitamin B complex, amino acids, zinc, copper, selenium, and iron. All these help the body to remain healthy. The antioxidants that are present in this mushroom, are believed to encourage a slower pace towards aging within the human body. This is very exciting news! There’s also some promise that cholesterol can be lowered, so that perhaps the heart could become healthier, due to its continuing ingestion of this Chaga mushroom, that is recommended.

   Anticancer properties have been found while studying this multipurpose mushroom in mice. Human studies need to be done also to show the full spectrum of this Chaga mushroom in a carefully controlled laboratory setting.

   High blood pressure, inflammation, including arthritis and autoimmune diseases might be able to be helped when using Chaga.

   There has been research done with these particular mushrooms, in combatting diabetes with rats, as specimens. This study carried was carried out successfully in 2006. Rats ate the Chaga mushrooms for eight-week period.

   Another possibility with using Chaga, could be with the side effects from chemotherapy, radiation and other treatments, which are used for various medical conditions.

   All this is great news to not only wonder, and research, but to actually see, know, and have the scientific evidence of what more the Chaga mushroom can do to help people with multiple health concerns.
